Every great super hero has an origin story how they became who they are and where their future will hopefully lead them. Take us two suburban girls and a whole lot of rescue mutts--- A mom and daughter duo fighting boring, unhealthy, cookie cutter (no pun intended) Dog Treats. We set out to do it a little different, healthier, organic and natural because at the end of the day we are not feeding dogs.... we are treating our fur kids. As pet parents we want the best and let's face it if we can brag on the 'gram' to all of our fur friends making them envious of our furbulous creations even better.
Setting out with some recipes that we used with our Airedale Percy making her homecooked meals and treats because in 1992 there wasn't many options for great stuff and Percy had allergies, like allergies to everything so it only made sense to start making her stuff and serving her the best to live a long and healthy life. Percy has since passed and looks over us as we continue to pursue our baking and cooking.
We decided in 2009 we needed to make sure all of our fur friends could bartake. Making treats, selling at a few farmers markets and kept working to pawfect our treats and haven't stopped since. Every time we make a treat we source better ingredients, new super foods, continually educating ourselves on dog nutrition and consulting with our vet.
2012 we decided to open a store front Wiggle Waggles Homemade Doggie Bistro: a treat and eats store for pups with booths and homecooked kibble enhancers- we were able to host barkday pawties and more.
2014: The birth of 6 Mutts Chicago: We have been successfully running a doggie food truck nicknamed after our at the time 6 adorable rescue mutts, We currently have 5 fur kids and 2 of them are super seniors 15, 17 years old. Our Doggie Food Truck has allowed us to do more events, serve more fur friends. On wheels we can do more and do better things. Thanksgiving being our best time of the year not only are we thankful for all the blessings that we have received but the blessings we are able to pass along to those who may not have a full bully or a warm bed. We use our food truck to deliver meals to animal shelters and supplies through our pet food drive.
All of these have means to get our product in your hands as easily as we can and we truly pride ourselves on quality, nutrition, customization and convenience.
As we move forward in our journey we would like thank you for being a part it and look forward to continuing to treat you and your fur kid on their special day. We hope you bartake and "Let us treat you".
Thank you for reading our story- we may not be super heroes but our dogs think we are and that is really what matters.
